Comstock Outraises Foust By Nearly Half a Million

Sterling, VA– Susan Falconer, Campaign Manager released the following statement on the FEC Filing Report:

“We are pleased that our broad based and diverse support allowed us to outraise our opponent by nearly half a million dollars this quarter $1,300,412 to $858,833. With 19 days to go, we are in strong position to continue to take Barbara’s positive campaign message of getting people back to work, providing patient centered health care, and stopping the defense sequester cuts across the District.

“Apparently, it is not just the DCCC that has bailed out of Foust’s negative and sputtering campaign, the donors have too.  John Foust has based almost his entire campaign on attacks on Barbara Comstock that are backfiring.  His dishonest attack ad that has been up for weeks, has already been disproved by the independent  Now it turns out he also lied to The Washington Post earlier this month when he claimed he had “raised” over $1 million in the third quarter.  In fact, Mr. Foust’s report shows that he only raised $858,833. In addition, his campaign is not just bankrupt of any ideas other than raising taxes, the campaign coffers are nearly empty too with $550,000 in loans that almost erase his Cash on Hand.  Note to reporters:  As John Foust and his campaign become increasingly desperate in these closing days, they will continue to lie to you.”
