Chantilly, Virginia; Susan Falconer, Campaign Manager for Barbara Comstock for Congress made the following statement in reaction to Congresswoman Barbara Comstock’s debate win at the sold out Loudoun Chamber of Commerce debate:

“At the Loudoun Chamber debate today, Congresswoman Barbara Comstock had a strong win once again. Barbara made clear that she will continue to deliver results for our hardworking families and businesses in Virginia’s 10th District with a strong pro-jobs agenda, a strong national security agenda, and a strong public safety agenda.

“Her opponent, Jennifer Wexton, who left the debate hall without talking to the media made it clear that she wants to represent the resistance and put forward no positive agenda. She also made clear that she will be a wet blanket on our roaring economy by increasing taxes on 90% of families and all of our businesses and take away the $2k child tax credit and notably could not talk about a single jobs or economy bill she has ever passed because they don’t exist.

“It’s no surprise that Congresswoman Comstock has been endorsed by all of the major business groups – the U.S. Chamber, the National Federation of Independent Businesses, the National Association of Women Business Owners and business leaders given her strong record promoting jobs and a strong economy and a legislative record of results to promote jobs. And Barbara’s advocacy for our federal employees has also earned her support from National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) PAC. Finally, the Congresswoman’s strong record on supporting our law enforcement community and passing the Project Safe Neighborhoods legislation to protect our communities has earned her the endorsement of the Police Benevolent Association – a group that Wexton refused to even meet with for an interview.

Barbara’s win follows on her strong showing at the “Hob Nob in the Valley” event in Winchester last week where she won a straw poll at the widely attended event by 87%.”
